  • Anna Magnus

    GENERAL MANAGER

    Anna, in her career so far, has built productive partnerships with dozens of organisations across the country including, all levels of government, corporate, media, charities and not-for-profits.
    Anna has a long history of engagement with the media and journalists having previously worked for ten years at the Walkley Foundations, National Manager of the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance State Media Awards Program.

    She is an Ambassador for 1 Million Women. Has worked for several leading organistions that support the community: Women in Media, the Australian Conservation Foundation, Variety: the Children’s Charity and the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service. She has been a member of a Ministerial Committee for Students with Disabilities and a member of the Ministerial Taskforce on Inclusive Education.

    Terrifically focused and dedicated, no one can organise an event like Anna, and she is a much loved and valued member of our team. Even a room of journalists have given her a standing ovation for her work.

  • David Margan

    EDITORIAL CONSULTANT

    David brings a wealth of experience and knowledge built on nearly four decades of life as a working journalist.

    A former editor of Sydney University’s student newspaper, ‘Honi Soit’ he was one of four cadets chosen from 5000 applicants to join the ABC’s prestigious Public Affairs Radio Unit, makers of ÁM’, ‘PM’ and ‘The World Today’.

    He’s worked on ‘Nationwide’, ‘The 7.30 Report’. ‘Business Sunday’ , ‘Lateline’, ’Foreign Correspondent. ‘Page One’ and in television has been an investigative reporter, producer, presenter and foreign correspondent.

    He has also written feature articles and columns for News Ltd and Fairfax Media.
    David has won a number of media awards and was a three times finalist in the Walkley Awards.

    For the last twelve years, he has worked as a communications consultant for a number of clients in industry, government and not-for-profits.

  • Fenlan Miller

    PROGRAMS

    Fenlan was the inaugural Kennedy Foundation Scholarship recipient in 2023, and now works as our Programs Director helping create opportunities for young people in media. He is also an Event Manager for Sabre and Belbin Australia working with leadership teams across the world in corporate, government, media and defence industries. As an active Army Reservist, he is currently training in military public affairs and civil-military co-operation to broaden his skillset and experience.

    Supporting up-and-coming journalists is crucial to the success of every media organisation, and Fenlan is keen to keep exploring how we can help get more young journos in news rooms across Australia.

  • Shea Isaacs Hogarth

    Shea Isaacs Hogarth

    COMMUNICATIONS

    Shea is a communications and marketing specialist and project manager with over 10 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector.

    She brings extensive communications expertise from her role as Head of Digital at 1 Million Women, along with project management and facilitation experience from her work with the Women’s & Girls’ Emergency Centre, and partnerships and engagement experience from her time at the Sydney Film Festival.

    In addition, Shea has extensive freelance experience in video editing, copywriting, and marketing strategy.
